Brothers-in-law Weland Andersson and Johannes Johannesson start a small workshop manufacturing wing nuts. The company was named Firma Vingmutter. Initially, the business operated from a rented 35 m² workshop.
Manufacturing of steel grating begins.
The company is converted into a limited company and renamed Weland & Söner AB. In connection with this, the property where Weland AB is still located today was acquired. A 670 m² factory building was constructed.
The subsidiary Weland GmbH is established in Germany.
The first manufacturing subsidiary is established, Zinken Weland in Gothenburg.
Weland AB operates 20,000 m² of factory space and employs 150 people. The subsidiary Weland AS is established in Norway.
The subsidiary Weland Stål AB in Ulricehamn is founded.
The subsidiary Weland & Sønner A/S is established in Denmark.
Weland Medical – WeLoc becomes a new subsidiary.
Weland AB adopts its current name. Weland Plastic becomes a new subsidiary.
Maku Stål in Borås and Floby Durk AB become new subsidiaries.
Weland Aluminium in Alvesta becomes a new subsidiary.
Industrireklam in Halmstad becomes a new subsidiary.
AT Installation in Mölndal becomes a new subsidiary.
Zinken Weland in Ulricehamn becomes a new subsidiary. Weland AB takes its first step towards becoming one of the leading subcontractors in sheet metal processing through the investment in its first laser cutting machine.
An eventful year: Per Wikstrand in Mora and Häfla Bruks AB become subsidiaries. Through the acquisition of Häfla Bruks AB, the company that was later renamed Weland OY in Finland was also acquired.
Hogstad Aluminium in Mjölby becomes a subsidiary.
Kåbe-Mattan in Fjugesta becomes a subsidiary.
Weland Trafikmiljö becomes a subsidiary. Together with Weland Utemiljö and Weland Golf, it creates opportunities for Weland Aluminium to enter a new market segment.
Weland AB takes over Continental’s former tyre factory in Gislaved and establishes the business centre Weland Industricentrum.
Weland AB becomes the sole owner of what is today known as Weland Solutions.
Jonas Welandson takes over as CEO after Gösta Welandson.
The Weland Group celebrated its 70th anniversary. The milestone was marked with three days of celebrations for the entire Group. Employees, along with their partners, customers, and suppliers, were invited to take part. The celebrations concluded with an exciting family day.
Weland takes over Kalmar LMV in Lidhult, where the newly established company Weland Welded Components sets up operations.
Ivar Pettersson Järnmanufaktur AB in Smålandsstenar and Bendex AB in Hyltebruk become subsidiaries. Rotage AB and its subsidiary Plåtmodul in Mjölby also become part of the Weland Group. The Group’s employee magazine is published for the first time.
Andon Robotics becomes a new subsidiary. Weland AB launches a new brand under the name Weland Design™. To promote both health and a sense of unity across the Group, a Group-wide wellness initiative is launched.
Momec AB becomes a subsidiary.
MST Automation AB becomes a subsidiary. To show appreciation, the Group invites all employees and their families to a full day at Liseberg – an activity that has since become an annual tradition. The same year, an employee app is launched to speed up and simplify information sharing and create more inclusive communication across the Group.
