About the Weland Group
The start of what was to become the Weland Group was founded in a small 35-square-metre workshop in Smålandsstenar in 1947. It was there that Weland Andersson, together with his sons Gösta and Sven-Åke, began manufacturing wing nuts. This marked the beginning of a journey that has grown into today's Weland Group – a strong industrial family of companies with deep roots in Swedish manufacturing and a continued ambition to grow and thrive for generations to come.
Tradition, Innovation and Development
Today, the Weland Group comprises around 30 companies, primarily operating in southern Sweden. Our product portfolio spans a wide range of industries, from staircases and railings to entrance matting, plastic components for the automotive industry, and advanced automated warehouse solutions. Regardless of the product area, we share a common focus: Swedish-made solutions built to last.
As a family-owned business, we are guided by long-term thinking, responsibility, and pride in craftsmanship. Steel, aluminium, and plastic are our primary materials, and we combine decades of experience with modern technology and continuous investment to meet the demands of the future. For us, manufacturing in Sweden is a given. It enables us to maintain full control over quality, delivery reliability, and environmental impact. The Weland Group carries out all of its manufacturing in Sweden, with most of our companies located in the southern part of the country. In addition to our Swedish operations, the Group includes four international subsidiaries in Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Germany.
